Brief Overview: The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley, originally called the Mexican American Chamber of Commerce, was founded in 1955 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1973. The Hispanic Chamber founders sought to maximize Hispanic business and economic development to increase better understanding between Hispanic businesses, corporate America and the community at large. The mission of the Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce Silicon Valley is to maximize Hispanic business and economic development of Silicon Valley by serving as an advocate and resource for its members, business owners, professionals, students and the community in general by being the premier voice for Hispanic and minority businesses.
